uPVC Underground Drainage Pipes

Choosing the Standard:

Qplast non pressure uPVC pipes are used for:

• Underground Drainage;
• Sewer Pipe;
• Gully Pipe and
• Storm Water.

Pipes and fittings are manufactured to the following standards:

• BS EN 1401
• DIN 19534

Drainage is significantly improved by the use of rigid pipes that can be better set to run off water.  Care must be taken to ensure drainage pipes are sloped so that silted water does not sit in the pipe allowing silt to dry and restrict future drainage.

In addition to the third party long-term type testing of all products, the following batch release or “routine” tests are carried out as standard:

Choosing the SDR Rating:

SDR (or standard dimension ratio) is a method of rating a pipe’s durability against pressure by describing the correlation between the pipe dimension and the thickness of the pipe wall. The lower the SDR the more pressure it can withstand.

SDR for BS EN 1401

The British standard BS EN 1401 specify the requirement for pipes in the field of non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage, both outside the building structure and those buried in ground within the building structure.
